The purpose of this exchange meeting was explained.

• Purpose 1: To exchange information about research, practice and education among the students learning in cancer nursing field
• Purpose 2: To deepen exchanges among students leading to future academic networking

2. Self-introduction

Faculty：

Introduction of research theme, clinical activities, department in charge of, and curriculum in graduate school, etc.

Student：

Presentation of the theme of master thesis and issues of concern
Following an opinion that exchange opportunity among the students of the 10 universities attending the Professional Training Plan in Cancer Medicine should be increased, the start of networking among students was confirmed.
As one idea, a student meeting before or after the seminar regarding the Professional Training Plan in Cancer Medicine was proposed.

4. Exchange Meeting (After the self introduction, exchange meetings were held by the faculty and the student separately)

1）Student

The 2nd graders advised the first on their research questions.

2）Faculty

(1）Roles of the faculty in the nursing field of Professional Training Plan in Cancer Medicine were confirmed as below;

• ・To organize students and to support what the students want to do
• ・To proceed researches ( information exchange every one year or half- year, an offer of feasible collaborative research idea ）
• ・To proceed programs (Seminars such as the cancer nursing seminar on December 20, 2012 should be implemented. A seminar involving other professionals is preferable. Opening of on-campus seminars to the public as collaboration with the Professional Training Plan in Cancer Medicine is also preferable.)
• ・Implementation by the faculty members of specialty section meeting (Note that other faculty members can participate in a student exchange opportunity)

5. Next exchange meeting

• Agenda ： Research presentation by the second grader. The first grader makes a presentation about specific research plan.
• Date ： to be determined (February, 2013)

6. Preparation for next meeting (February, 2013) by the faculty

• ・To think what should be do as a business, research and education in cancer nursing field
• ・To create the curriculum introduction materials and bring it (in order that students can study at other university in the future)
• ・To study the feasibility of remote exchange meeting (confirmation of internet environment)
• ・To make mailing lists for the students and the faculty
• ・Regarding the contents creation about nursing field for the 'national e-learning cloud' by Tsukuba University, to ask Dr. Uchifu（Participation is decided by individual university）
